Real-World Evidence

Prospective Observational Studies

Clinical trial data are often limited to selected populations and may not adequately reflect the current medical context. We develop retrospective, cross-sectional and prospective observational studies carried out in a context of current practice, making it possible to collect a lot of relevant information such as:

  1. The quality of life of patients and their caregivers
  2. The loss of work productivity of patients and their caregivers
  3. The use of health resources
  4. The utility value associated with different health states

Claims Database Analyses

We have recognized expertise in administrative database analyses, most notably with the prescription and medical services database of the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).

  1. Characteristics of the disease, patients and treatments
  2. Health resource utilization and health care costs
  3. Treatment patterns pre-and post-launch
  4. Adherence and persistence to treatment and their potential determinants

Interview with Key Opinion Leaders

Interview with key opinion leaders facilitates the collection of clinical information reflecting current medical practice in Quebec and Canada. These surveys can be used to obtain data on the target population, the new treatment’s place in therapy, unmet needs as well as the barriers and issues related to the use of a new therapy.
